Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with Dupuytren's disease that has left one or more fingers bent/curled and unable to straighten by at least 20–30 degrees
  • A doctor can feel a tight cord-like band under the skin causing the finger bending
  • You are unable to lay your affected finger and the palm of your hand flat on a table at the same time
  • It has been at least 30 days since any surgery for Dupuytren's disease
  • It has been at least 30 days since taking any experimental/investigational drug

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a history of blood disorders
  • You have a history of liver disease
  • You have a history of kidney disease
  • You have had heart failure, chest pain (angina), or a heart attack within the past 6 months
  • You have a history of breathing or lung disease
  • You are HIV positive or have a weakened immune system
  • You have a history of significant illnesses such as hormone (endocrine) or nerve/brain (neurological) disorders
  • You have had problems with illegal drug use or alcoholism within the past year
  • You have a history of psychosis (a serious mental health condition affecting perception of reality)
  • You have had an infectious illness within the past 2 weeks
  • You have any long-term or severely limiting illness
  • You have a high level of a specific immune response (IgE antibodies) to collagenase (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a known allergy to collagenase or any ingredients in the injection
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You are able to have children but are not willing to use effective birth control during the trial
