Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

You have been diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 2 (a condition that causes tumors to grow on nerves related to hearing and balance)
You are scheduled to have a tumor removed (either your first tumor removal or your second)
If this would be your first implant, you must have started having symptoms before the age of 40
If you already have an older, non-working hearing implant (placed during a previous tumor removal), you may be eligible to receive a newer multi-channel implant during your next surgery

Who may not be able to join:

Your primary language is not English
