Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia along with typical signs of Fanconi's anemia, such as being shorter than average, underdeveloped bones in the forearms, unusual skin coloring, kidney abnormalities, and chromosomes that break more easily than normal
- You have a family history of Fanconi's anemia
- You have a family member whose tissue type is a close match to yours and who can donate (a "matched related donor")
Who may not be able to join:
- The potential donor shows signs of the same kind of chromosome fragility seen in Fanconi's anemia (confirm with trial site)
- The potential donor does not have normal blood counts or bone marrow results
