Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Premature babies born before 33 weeks of pregnancy who need a breathing machine (ventilator) to help them breathe
  • Babies born at or after 33 weeks of pregnancy who have severe breathing problems, need a ventilator, and require a high level of oxygen and significant breathing support (confirm with trial site for specific measurements)
  • Babies older than 4 weeks who have a chronic lung condition called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (a lung disease that can develop in premature babies) and need a ventilator to help them breathe
