Who may be able to join

"Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB), either the Hallopeau-Siemens type or the non-Hallopeau-Siemens type
  • You are already enrolled in the National Epidermolysis Bullosa Registry
  • If you have or have had a type of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, it must not have spread to other parts of the body

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have significantly high levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) in your blood
  • You have significant liver problems
  • You have significant kidney problems
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • If you are able to have children, you must be willing and able to use effective birth control during the trial
