Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes by your doctor.
- You are between 12 and 20 years old when you join the trial.
- Your most recent HbA1c blood sugar level result was 7% or higher (this is a test that shows your average blood sugar over the past few months).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another serious health condition that the trial doctors feel might make it hard for you to fully take part in the study (confirm with trial site).
- You have a significant mental health condition, a cognitive (thinking or learning) difficulty, or communication challenges that the trial doctors feel would make it hard for you to interact with the study team, or that could put the study team at risk; this also includes anyone who currently has thoughts of harming themselves or others, or has a history of being arrested for violent behavior, or has been suspended or expelled from school for violent behavior.
- You are currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant within the next 6 months.
