Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that is considered well controlled, but you still experience about 2 to 3 low blood sugar episodes per week.
  • You are between 18 and 50 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI — a measure based on your height and weight) is between 18 and 30.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently pregnant.
  • You have serious complications related to your diabetes.
  • You have liver disease or cirrhosis (scarring of the liver).
  • You have a heart or cardiac condition.
  • You have a neurological disorder (a condition affecting the brain or nervous system).
  • You have autonomic neuropathy (a type of nerve damage that affects automatic body functions like heart rate or digestion — confirm with trial site).
  • You have kidney disease.
  • You have lactose intolerance (difficulty digesting dairy products).
