Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must already be enrolled in a separate study called the Longitudinal Study of the Porphyrias and have a diagnosis of EPP (Erythropoietic Protoporphyria).
  • You, or your parent or guardian if you are a child, must be able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are not currently enrolled in the Longitudinal Study of the Porphyrias.
  • You are under 7 years of age.
  • You have a cognitive impairment that affects your ability to participate (confirm with trial site).
  • You are unwilling to have a blood sample taken, which would be used to create a special type of cell line for research purposes.
