Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 60 years old and weigh between 55 kg (about 121 lbs) and 100 kg (about 220 lbs)
- You are willing and able to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and be using an approved form of birth control for the whole study
- If you are a man, you must be using a barrier method of contraception (such as a condom) during the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- You have an abnormal heart rhythm measurement (called QTc interval) or a family history of a condition called Long QT Syndrome (confirm with trial site)
- Your kidneys are not filtering blood at a sufficient rate (confirm with trial site)
- Your blood test results or liver enzyme levels fall outside an acceptable range (confirm with trial site)
- You have HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C
- You have another active infection in your body or any form of cancer
- You have taken part in another clinical drug trial within the last 60 days
- You have had major surgery within the last 90 days
- You have a history of illegal drug use or heavy alcohol dependence within the past 2 years
- You test positive for drugs or alcohol on a screening test
- You have drunk alcohol within 48 hours before the study medication is given
- You have recently donated or lost a significant amount of blood (approximately one pint or more)
- You are currently taking hormone replacement therapy or certain prescription medications (confirm with trial site)
