Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

For families affected by a rare disease:

  • Your family includes at least one child aged 0 to 17 years who has been diagnosed with a rare solid tumour in the abdomen
  • You and your child agree to take part in the study
  • Both parents and children have a good enough understanding of German to complete the study materials

For families in the comparison (control) group:

  • Your family includes at least one child aged 0 to 17 years who had surgery in their first 3 years of life that has not caused any ongoing or long-term health problems
  • You and your child agree to take part in the study
  • Both parents and children have a good enough understanding of German to complete the study materials

Who may not be able to join:

For families affected by a rare disease:

  • The child has a serious physical, mental, or cognitive condition at this time that would make completing questionnaires too difficult or inappropriate (confirm with trial site)

For families in the comparison (control) group:

  • The child has been diagnosed with a condition they were born with or a long-term (chronic) illness
