Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children between the ages of 7 and 12 years old
- Parents, including fathers, mothers, or legal guardians, as long as they are adults
- Families who currently live in Yaqui Valley, Sonora, Mexico
- People who are interested in taking part and have enough time available to complete all the study activities and measurements
Who may not be able to join:
- Children whose parents or guardians have not signed the official permission form (informed consent)
- Children or participants who have conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or similar health conditions that require them to follow a special diet or medical treatment
- Anyone who has a mental health condition, or any other condition that requires them to follow a specific diet, exercise plan, or lifestyle treatment, as this could affect the results of the study
- Anyone who has a physical condition that would prevent them from fully taking part in the program (confirm with trial site)
