Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have been diagnosed with primary central nervous system lymphoma (a type of cancer affecting the brain or spinal cord) that has come back or stopped responding to treatment, and you have recently started receiving a specific medication called tirabrutinib through national health insurance coverage between June 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025
  • You are willing and able to give written consent to participate, or a legal representative can give consent on your behalf if you are unable to do so yourself
  • In some cases, deceased patients may be included under a special approval that waives the usual consent requirement (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your cancer has not been confirmed through a tissue sample (biopsy) to be a specific type called large B-cell primary central nervous system lymphoma
  • You have not previously received at least 2 cycles of a specific chemotherapy treatment called high-dose methotrexate
  • You have HIV infection
  • Your diagnosis is a specific type of cancer called Burkitt lymphoma
  • You were already receiving other chemotherapy drugs or targeted antibody treatments at the time you started taking tirabrutinib
