Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with one of these cancers that has spread to other parts of the body: skin melanoma, eye melanoma, colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, or sarcoma
- Your tissue has tested positive for a specific genetic marker called HLA-Cw*0702
- Your tissue shows expression of a protein called MAGE-12 (detected through a lab test on your tissue sample)
- Previous standard treatments for your cancer have not worked
- Your cancer can be measured or detected through scans or tests
- You are 16 years of age or older
- You are well enough to carry out light daily activities (a doctor will assess this)
- You are expected to live longer than 3 months
- Your blood cell counts and blood test results are within acceptable ranges (a doctor will check this)
- At least 3 weeks have passed since your last cancer treatment (biological therapy, chemotherapy, radiation, or hormone therapy) and you have recovered from its effects
- Previous surgery for cancer is acceptable
Who may not be able to join:
- You have kidney (renal) cancer
- You are currently receiving any other cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, hormone therapy, radiation therapy, or biological therapy
- You are currently taking steroid medications
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or unwilling to use contraception if you are able to have children
- You have an active infection in your body
- You have an autoimmune disease, a known immune system disorder, or an active immune deficiency condition
- You have tested positive for Hepatitis B or HIV
- You have significant heart problems such as reduced blood flow to the heart, a history of heart attack, or irregular heartbeat — particularly if you would be receiving a treatment called interleukin-2 (IL-2) (confirm with trial site)
- You have significant breathing or lung problems — particularly if you would be receiving IL-2 therapy (confirm with trial site)
- You have other serious active medical conditions — particularly if you would be receiving IL-2 therapy (confirm with trial site)
