Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer or primary peritoneal carcinoma, confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy).
  • You finished chemotherapy no more than 6 months ago.
  • You have Stage III or IV ovarian or peritoneal cancer, completed your first surgery and chemotherapy, and currently show no signs of the disease — OR — you had a cancer recurrence (at any original stage) that came back at least 2 years after your first treatment ended, completed chemotherapy for that recurrence, and currently show no signs of disease.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had another type of cancer (other than certain common skin cancers) within the last 5 years.
  • You currently have an active condition affecting your brain or central nervous system.
  • You currently have an active bacterial, viral, or fungal infection.
  • You received chemotherapy, biological therapy, or radiation therapy less than 4 weeks before joining the study.
  • You have a history of an autoimmune disease or a condition that weakens your immune system.
  • You have taken medications that suppress the immune system within the 4 weeks before joining the study.
  • Your tumor was identified as a "borderline" or low-grade tumour (sometimes called a borderline tumour).
  • You have already received the current season's flu vaccine.
  • You have a known serious allergy to eggs or to a previous flu vaccine.
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
