Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a man or woman aged 55 or older who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment (a condition involving mild memory or thinking difficulties) based on recognised medical guidelines
- You do not have other major psychiatric or mental health conditions (confirm with trial site)
- Your blood pressure and diabetes (if you have either) are well controlled
- You have no history of drug or alcohol misuse
- If you are in the Alzheimer's disease group and you take memory-related medications (such as cholinesterase inhibitors or Memantine), you have been on a stable, unchanged dose for at least 2 months before the start of the trial
- You are able to give written agreement to take part in the study yourself, or if needed, a legal representative can give consent on your behalf
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with another significant psychiatric or mental health condition (confirm with trial site)
- You have high blood pressure or diabetes that is not well controlled
- You have a history of drug or alcohol misuse
- You are unwilling or unable to give consent to take part, or are unable to follow the study's requirements
