Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be over 18 years old
  • You must have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease
  • You must have had intestinal damage or sores confirmed within the last 6 months
  • Your Crohn's disease must have been diagnosed less than 6 months ago
  • You must be considered at high risk of developing serious, long-term disease complications, meaning you meet at least 2 of these 3 conditions: you are under 40 years old, you have disease around the anal area, or you needed steroids during your first flare-up

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have previously been prescribed medications that suppress the immune system
  • Your disease is severe enough that you already need immune-suppressing treatment urgently (for example, steroids are not working, your disease affects a very large part of your intestine, or you have severe anal area disease)
  • You have previously had part of your intestine surgically removed
  • You currently have an active infection, including HIV
  • You have serious liver problems
  • You have serious kidney problems
  • You are pregnant
  • There are concerns that you may have difficulty following the trial's requirements and schedule (confirm with trial site)
