Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease for more than 4 months, confirmed by a camera examination of the gut or an imaging scan.
- Your Crohn's disease activity falls within a specific range on a scoring system (called the CDAI) at the start of the trial, meaning your disease is moderately to severely active (confirm with trial site).
- You are aged 18 or older but under 75 years old at the time of your screening visit.
- The trial doctor considers you to be in generally good health overall.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with a type of bowel inflammation other than Crohn's disease.
- You have a known narrowing in your bowel (called a stricture) that is causing symptoms.
- You have had bowel surgery in the past 6 months, or you are planning to have bowel surgery at any point during the study.
- You have a stoma bag or a specific type of surgically created internal pouch (people who have had a certain type of bowel reconnection surgery may still be eligible — confirm with trial site).
- The trial doctor has determined that you have short bowel syndrome (a condition where your body cannot absorb enough nutrients).
- You currently have an infection or have factors that put you at high risk of serious infections.
- You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant during the study, or are currently breastfeeding.
