Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease, confirmed through camera tests (endoscopy), imaging, or tissue samples
- You have a narrowing (stricture) in the small bowel (in the part called the jejunum or ileum), found through imaging or a camera test
- You have been experiencing significant symptoms of bowel blockage, rated 3 or higher on a 0–6 scale, over the past 8 weeks
- Previous treatments with steroids and/or immune-suppressing medications have not worked well enough, and your doctor feels you are ready for a type of medication called anti-TNF therapy
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a complete bowel blockage that has not improved
- You have previously been treated with anti-TNF medications
- You have a pocket of infection (abscess) inside or around your abdomen
- You currently have an active infection of any kind
- You had a serious infection within the last 2 months
- You have untreated latent (inactive/hidden) tuberculosis
- You have heart failure
- You have had an active cancer diagnosis within the last 5 years
- You have a disease affecting the protective coating around your nerves (such as multiple sclerosis) (confirm with trial site)
- Your Crohn's disease medication (such as azathioprine, mercaptopurine, methotrexate, or thalidomide) has been changed or adjusted in the last two months
- You are unable to have an MRI scan of the bowel or a special type of ultrasound scan using a contrast dye
