Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are having one of the following planned surgeries at the Charité - University Medicine Berlin, Campus Virchow Clinic: hip fracture repair, a type of colon surgery (open right hemicolectomy or extended hemicolectomy), surgery to remove as much ovarian cancer tumour as possible, or a specific type of pancreatic surgery (pylorus-preserving pancreatic head resection)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are having emergency surgery (this trial is only for planned, non-emergency procedures)
