Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a woman aged 18 years or older
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher, meaning you are considered overweight or obese

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently pregnant
  • You have a known or suspected condition that causes higher-than-normal levels of male hormones, such as certain tumors, Cushing's syndrome, or a hormone condition called hyperprolactinemia (confirm with trial site)
  • You have an untreated thyroid condition, based on specific blood test results (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a serious active mental health condition such as psychosis or thoughts of suicide
  • You have severe untreated depression or anxiety — however, if you are already being treated by a mental health specialist and have their permission to join, you may still be eligible
  • You have been admitted to a hospital for a psychiatric condition within the last two years
  • You are currently struggling with alcohol or drug abuse
  • You are unable to read, speak, or write in English
  • You are unable to commit to attending the program and follow-up appointments
  • You are currently enrolled in a stress reduction program
  • You have practiced mindfulness regularly (at least once a week) within the past 6 months
  • You are currently taking part in another research study
  • You have Type 1 diabetes
