Who may be able to join
"Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with early Alzheimer's disease or a related memory/thinking condition, based on a specific set of recognised medical guidelines.
- You have been taking a type of medication used to treat Alzheimer's symptoms (called a cholinesterase inhibitor) for at least 3 months.
- Your condition is rated as mild to moderate on a standard memory and thinking assessment scale called the CDR (score of 2 or below).
- If you take any medications that affect mood or mental health, you may still be eligible as long as you have been on the same dose for at least 3 months without any changes.
Who may not be able to join:
- Your condition is rated as more severe on the CDR assessment scale (a score above 2).
- You have been diagnosed with a psychiatric condition such as depression (as defined by a specific set of medical guidelines), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or addiction.
