Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older (there is no upper age limit)
- You have been diagnosed with cervical, vaginal, vulvar, or uterine (endometrial) cancer, and radiation therapy (with or without chemotherapy) is planned as part of your standard treatment
- You are scheduled to receive external beam radiation therapy at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
- You are able to read English (required for a questionnaire used in the study)
- Your radiation specialist considers your treatment to be aimed at curing the cancer
- If you are able to become pregnant, you have had a blood test confirming you are not currently pregnant
Who may not be able to join:
- You are under 18 years of age
- Your radiation specialist considers your cancer to be incurable
- Your radiation treatment is planned only to relieve symptoms, not to attempt a cure
- You are unable to complete a specific section of a daily activities questionnaire used in the study (confirm with trial site)
- You have had radiation treatment before to the same area of the body being targeted in this study
- You currently have another active, serious cancer that requires ongoing treatment at the same time as your radiation therapy — though some exceptions may apply, such as certain skin cancers or cancers treated with a minor localised procedure (confirm with trial site)
