Who may be able to join

"Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You currently have a pain level of 3 or higher (on a scale of 0–10), and at least one previous pain score of 3 or higher has been recorded in your medical records
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have been diagnosed with breast cancer, gastrointestinal (digestive system) cancer, genitourinary (urinary or reproductive system) cancer, gynecological cancer, or thoracic (chest) cancer
  • You are currently receiving cancer care at Duke Cancer Center, Durham Regional Hospital, or Duke Raleigh Hospital
  • You are able and willing to participate in an online program called Pillars4Life (the CORE program curriculum)
  • Your doctor estimates you have a life expectancy of at least 6 months
  • You are willing and able to give your informed consent to participate in the study
  • You are able to read and write in English
