Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 75 years old (both men and women) who have already been diagnosed with Crohn's disease affecting the small intestine, large intestine, or both
- Patients who are seen at the Royal Marsden Hospital IBD clinic or other specialist clinics where a check on gut healing is needed as part of their care
- Patients who have received a type of treatment called Anti-TNF therapy in the 6 to 12 months before the study starts
- Patients who have been referred for a colonoscopy to check the current state of their gut, possibly to decide whether their treatment needs to be changed
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a known or suspected blockage somewhere in their digestive system
- People who have difficulty swallowing
- People who have a narrowing of the food pipe (oesophagus)
- People who have a condition where the stomach empties very slowly (confirm with trial site)
- People who have dementia
- People who have a heart pacemaker or any other implanted medical device
- People who have severe heart or kidney problems
- People who have previously had a bad reaction to bowel preparation (the liquid used to clean out the bowel before a colonoscopy)
- People who are pregnant
- People who have had major surgery on their abdomen in the past
- People for whom a colonoscopy is not considered safe or suitable

Primary endpoints
Assess bowel cleanness based on the % of mucosal surface visualized by the Capsule colonoscopy; Simple Endoscopic Score for Crohn's Disease from Conventional colonoscopy; Levels of Faecal calprotectin
