Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 70 years old or older
- Your general health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within an acceptable range, as assessed by your doctor (using a standard 0–3 scale)
- You have completed two specific questionnaires about your health and quality of life (called G8 and QLQ-C30)
- You have not had a formal geriatric (elderly care) assessment during your cancer treatment before
- You have one of the following cancers at an advanced or spread stage, and are starting your first or second round of drug treatment: breast cancer (advanced/spread, hormone-resistant, and HER2-negative), colon or rectal cancer (spread and cannot be removed by surgery), prostate cancer (spread and no longer responding to hormone treatment), bladder cancer (advanced or spread), ovarian cancer (advanced stage), lung cancer (non-small cell, spread), or lymphoma (slow-growing or fast-growing)
- Your doctor expects you to live for more than 6 months
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
- You are covered by the French social security system, in line with French law on medical research
Who may not be able to join:
- You have already received two or more rounds of drug treatment for your cancer
- Your only treatment planned is hormone therapy (except for prostate cancer, where a specific hormone drug called abiraterone acetate is allowed), surgery alone, or radiotherapy alone
- Your treatment plan is "best supportive care" only (care focused on comfort rather than treating the cancer directly)
- You are unable to understand or complete quality of life questionnaires
- You are unable to follow the study requirements for geographical, social, or personal reasons
- You are under legal guardianship
- You are planning to take part in another medical research trial during the 12 months after joining this study
- You have previously taken part in this same study

Primary endpoints
Overall survival defined as the delay between randomization and death, all causes.; Health related quality of life (HR-QoL) assessed using 3 scales of European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-C30 questionnaire.
