NCT02979821

NCT02979821
Completed Phase 2

Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with stage IV lung adenocarcinoma (an advanced form of lung cancer)
  • Your tumor has a specific genetic change called a HER2 mutation, confirmed by genetic testing — and you have been confirmed negative for certain other mutations (EGFR, ALK, and ROS1), with tumor DNA still detectable
  • You have already received at least one round of chemotherapy in the past (not including EGFR-targeted therapy)
  • You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself, with only limited restriction of physical activity (confirm with trial site what this means for your situation)
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan
  • Your blood counts and organ function (kidneys, liver, bone marrow) meet minimum health levels, as shown by recent blood tests

Who may not be able to join:

  • Doctors estimate you have less than 3 months to live
  • You have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord that has not been treated with surgery or radiation — though people whose brain metastases are stable after treatment or are not causing symptoms may still be eligible (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a serious or unstable health condition affecting your lungs, heart, liver, or kidneys, as judged by your doctor
  • You have previously been treated with EGFR-targeted therapy (a specific type of targeted cancer drug)

Important: Always verify eligibility with the trial site directly before applying.

Based on publicly available eligibility criteria from ClinicalTrials.gov. Verify directly with the trial site before acting. This is not medical advice.

Phase 2: approximately ~30% of drugs entering this phase reach regulatory approval, based on published industry-wide historical data. This is not specific to this trial.
