Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis) and have been found to have a narrowing in your intestine (called a stricture) on a scan or camera test, but this narrowing is not currently causing you any symptoms.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your narrowing is located in the lower part of the rectum or in the anal area.
  • Tissue samples (biopsies) taken from or near the narrowing have shown signs of pre-cancerous changes or cancer.
  • You are not well enough to safely undergo a camera test (endoscopy) due to other health conditions.
  • You are unable to give your full, informed agreement to take part in the trial.
  • There is a concern that your bowel or digestive tract may have a hole or tear (perforation).
  • You are unable to have an MRI scan of the small bowel, for example because you have a pacemaker or another reason that makes MRI unsafe for you (confirm with trial site).
