Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, or Microscopic Colitis, confirmed through scans, camera tests (endoscopy), or tissue samples.
- Your condition is currently active, meaning you are experiencing symptoms and this has been confirmed through a camera test.
- You have already tried reasonable medical treatments for your condition but have not had enough improvement.
- You are able to attend appointments and complete surveys and tests throughout the study period.
- You are able to identify someone who could donate a stool sample for you.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a bowel or gut condition that cannot be clearly identified as one of the three conditions listed above.
- You currently have a Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) gut infection.
- You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant within the next 6 months.
- Your blood test shows that your infection-fighting white blood cells (neutrophils) are below a certain level (confirm with trial site).
- Your blood protein (albumin) level is too low (confirm with trial site).
- You currently have an active infection in your gut confirmed by testing.
- You are taking certain steroid medications (prednisolone or budesonide) at a dose that cannot safely be reduced to zero within 6 weeks of starting the treatment.
- You have short gut syndrome or your small intestine is shorter than 1.5 metres (confirm with trial site).
- You have a hole (perforation) in your bowel, active internal fistulas, or fistulas connecting your bowel to your skin.
- Your doctor feels you are not able to safely participate in this type of treatment.
- You are currently taking antibiotics for any reason.

Primary endpoints
Clinical remission as defined by Crohn's disease activity index less than 150; Clinical remission in Ulcerative colitis: Total MAYO score </= 2; Clinical remission in Microscopic colitis
