Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be living full-time (24 hours a day) in one of the care homes taking part in the study.
- You must have dementia, confirmed by specific memory and thinking tests showing at least mild impairment.
- You must be showing at least some mild symptoms of depression, based on a standard rating scale used by clinicians.
- You must have a formal diagnosis of dementia based on recognised medical guidelines.
- You (or a family member or carer acting on your behalf, if needed) must have agreed to take part in writing.
Who may not be able to join:
- You may not be able to join if you have a diagnosis of schizophrenia or Parkinson's disease.
- You may not be able to join if you have severe hearing difficulties.
- You may not be able to join if you are staying at the care home only on a short-term basis.
- You may not be able to join if you are unable to sit in a chair for the length of the study sessions.
