Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with an advanced form of one of the following cancers: non-small cell lung, pancreatic, colorectal, prostate, breast, or ovarian cancer, as confirmed by your cancer doctor.
  • You have a reduced appetite, measured by a specific symptom scale used in this trial (confirm with trial site).
  • You are either not currently receiving any cancer treatment, or you are receiving standard cancer treatment that is not intended to cure your cancer.
  • You are able and willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently being fed through a tube or receiving nutrients directly into your bloodstream (IV nutrition).
  • Your reduced appetite is caused by something that could be treated and reversed (confirm with trial site).
  • You have a serious, active digestive or stomach condition.
  • You have cancer that has spread to your brain and is causing symptoms that require steroid medication.
  • You have an active, uncontrolled infection caused by bacteria, fungus, or a virus, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, or AIDS-related illness.
  • Your kidneys or liver are not functioning well enough to meet the trial's requirements (confirm with trial site).
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
