Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with major depression, either as a single episode or as something that has come back more than once.
- You are able to read and write in English.
- You scored above 25 on a standard memory and thinking test called the Mini-Mental State Examination (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have ever had a serious dependence on alcohol or drugs at any point in your life.
- You have a condition that affects the brain, such as fluid on the brain, brain tumors (whether cancerous or not), epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, dementia, or diseases that damage the protective covering of nerves (confirm with trial site for other similar conditions).
- You have an untreated hormone or gland disorder, unless it is diabetes.
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of dementia.
- You have another main mental health condition, such as panic disorder, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder.
