Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with a specific type of ovarian cancer called high-grade serous ovarian cancer (including cancer that started in the fallopian tubes or the lining of the abdomen), and it has spread or come back.
- Your cancer responded well to platinum-based chemotherapy in a previous round of treatment, and then came back more than 6 months after finishing that treatment (this is called "platinum-sensitive" disease).
- You have received 4 to 8 cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy as part of your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th course of treatment, using specific drug combinations (confirm with trial site), and you must begin your first trial treatment between 4 and 12 weeks after your last platinum chemotherapy dose.
- Your best result from your most recent treatment was that your cancer disappeared, shrank, or stayed stable.
- If your cancer disappeared or shrank with your most recent treatment and you have never had a PARP inhibitor, you must have had genetic testing showing no harmful BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutations (both inherited and tumour-based testing may be required).
- A sample of your tumour tissue must be available and must test positive for a specific protein called NaPi2b at a central laboratory before you can join the trial.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously been treated with a drug called mirvetuximab soravtansine, or any similar type of drug (called an antibody-drug conjugate) containing certain specific ingredients (auristatin or maytansinoid).
- You received a drug called bevacizumab alongside your last platinum chemotherapy, or you are planning to receive maintenance therapy outside of this trial.
- You currently have signs or symptoms of a bowel blockage, or you need fluids or nutrition given directly into a vein.
- You have had fluid drained from your abdomen or chest for medical reasons within the last 28 days.
- You have a history of serious liver conditions, such as cirrhosis, liver scarring, or certain vein problems in the food pipe or stomach (confirm with trial site).
- You have a history of, or suspected, inflammation or scarring of the lungs.
- You have cancer that has spread to the brain and has not been treated, or cancer that has spread to the membranes surrounding the brain or spinal cord.
