Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are male, or female and not currently pregnant or breastfeeding, and are between 12 and 65 years old, and have already completed the related study called LP352-201
  • You have been diagnosed with Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, or another similar condition involving epilepsy and developmental challenges
  • You (or your parent or caregiver) are willing and able to attend appointments, keep a daily diary, and take the study medication as directed

Who may not be able to join:

  • You had a serious medical event during the previous study (LP352-201) that was thought to be related to the study drug
  • You have or have had a heart or blood vessel condition, such as heart valve problems, a heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure in the lungs, or abnormal blood pressure
  • You have glaucoma, kidney problems, liver disease, or any other health condition that could affect your ability to take part or put you at risk (confirm with trial site)
  • You currently have, or have recently had, moderate or severe depression, an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia, or are considered at risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviour
  • You are currently taking certain medications, including appetite suppressants, MAO inhibitors, fenfluramine, atomoxetine, vortioxetine, serotonin-related drugs, or any other weight loss medication (confirm with trial site if unsure about your medications)
  • You test positive for drugs on a drug screening test, unless it is for cannabis (THC) and you have been prescribed cannabidiol by a doctor
