Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are aged 65 years or older
  • You live independently in the community (not in a care home or similar facility)
  • You can speak and understand English well enough to complete thinking and memory tests
  • You live in one of these areas: City of Onkaparinga, Marion City Council, City of Port Adelaide and Enfield, City of Playford, City of Salisbury, or City of Tea Tree Gully
  • You are able to use a phone, tablet, or computer with reasonable confidence
  • You are currently not getting 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week (based on your own report)
  • You have been assessed as safe to do physical activity, or have been given the go-ahead by a health professional

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have scored below a certain level on a memory and thinking test, suggesting significant cognitive difficulties, or you have already been diagnosed with dementia
  • You already meet Australia's recommended physical activity guidelines of 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week
  • You have been diagnosed with a major brain or mental health condition
  • You have a known intellectual disability
  • You have a major physical disability that would prevent participation
  • You are not fluent in English
  • You are currently taking part in another research trial involving exercise, brain training, and/or diet
  • You have vision problems that would make it difficult to read a phone or computer screen
