Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are an adult between 18 and 35 years old.
  • You are willing and able to stop taking any medications that could affect the study results during the study period.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or below (this is a measure of body weight relative to height — confirm with trial site if unsure of your BMI).
  • You have symptoms of infrequent periods or absent periods.
  • You do not have any diagnosed or noticeable psychiatric or neurological conditions (such as dementia or psychosis) that would get in the way of taking part.
  • You do not have any type of cancer.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have any form of cancer or malignant condition.
  • You have a serious or unstable heart, breathing, or musculoskeletal condition that could affect the accuracy of certain sensitivity tests used in the study.
  • You are unwilling to stop taking medications that could interfere with the study results during the study period.
  • You have certain conditions that make ultrasound therapy unsafe, including active cancer in the hands or feet, a blood clot in a deep vein, complete loss of sensation in the hands or feet, or metal or plastic implants in the body (confirm with trial site for full details).
