Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You prefer to receive therapy in Spanish
  • You have low positive mood, plus signs of depression, anxiety, or stress, based on specific questionnaire scores, and these feelings are affecting your daily life (confirm with trial site for exact score thresholds)
  • You are willing to avoid starting any new therapy or mental health medications until the study is finished

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a serious or unstable medical condition, such as significant heart or lung disease, brain disorders, seizures, stroke-related conditions, thyroid problems, or diabetes
  • You are currently having thoughts of suicide
  • You have ever been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, psychosis, significant memory or thinking problems, or brain damage
  • You have misused substances in the last 6 months, or been dependent on substances in the last 12 months
  • You smoked more than 11 cigarettes per week (or the equivalent amount of nicotine) before the age of 15
  • You used marijuana, cocaine, or stimulants such as amphetamines or methamphetamine 5 to 7 times per week or more before the age of 15
  • You are currently pregnant
  • You have taken bupropion, dopamine-related medications, or antipsychotic medications in the past 6 months
  • You are not willing to be recorded by video or audio during the study
  • You have taken part in an earlier phase of this same study before
