Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have had surgery to fully remove stomach cancer or cancer at the junction between the stomach and the food pipe, with the aim of curing the disease

• People with significant heart problems, such as unstable chest pain, moderate to severe heart failure, serious irregular heartbeat requiring medication, or a heart attack within the last 6 months
• People who have difficulty absorbing food or medication through their digestive system, or who are unable to swallow tablets
• People with serious ongoing infections or other serious uncontrolled health conditions
• People who have received a transplanted organ and are taking medication to prevent rejection
• People who have taken part in another clinical trial or received an experimental treatment within 4 weeks before joining this trial
• People who need to take a specific antiviral medicine called sorivudine or closely related drugs such as brivudine
• People who test positive for HIV
