Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children who have epilepsy that has not been controlled by medication, where the seizures start in one specific area of the brain, and where the cause is one of the following conditions: Focal Cortical Dysplasia, Hemimegalencephaly, Tuberous Sclerosis, MOGHE, Hypothalamic Hamartomas, Sturge-Weber syndrome, Rasmussen encephalitis, or brain gliomas
- Parents or guardians who have given written consent both for their child to take part and for themselves to take part
- Families who are covered by French social security or an equivalent recognised insurance scheme in France
Who may not be able to join:
- Families or children who do not wish to take part in the study
- Children for whom anaesthesia, MRI scanning, or surgery is medically not suitable
- Children or families who do not have medical insurance coverage
