Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are White Brazilian of European descent
- People who have been diagnosed with ADHD according to a standard set of psychiatric guidelines known as the DSM-IV

Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom the short-acting form of methylphenidate is medically unsuitable or unsafe

- People with a current or past diagnosis of psychosis
- People whose estimated IQ score is below 70
