Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with either advanced liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma/HCC) or stomach cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic gastric cancer)
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • If you have liver cancer (HCC): your cancer has continued to grow or spread while receiving immunotherapy; if you have metastatic stomach cancer: you have already tried at least one round of chemotherapy and an immunotherapy treatment that did not work
  • You have at least one liver tumor that is 2 cm (about ¾ of an inch) or larger in size, and it is in a location that can be targeted by a specific procedure called TATE (confirm with trial site)
  • Your general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a certain minimum level, as measured by a standard scoring system (ECOG score of 2 or less — confirm with trial site)
  • If you have liver cancer (HCC): your liver is still functioning at an acceptable level, as measured by a standard scoring system (Child-Pugh score of 5–7 — confirm with trial site)
  • Any chemotherapy you received was completed at least 4 weeks before starting this trial (this wait time does not apply to immunotherapy)
  • Your blood counts and organ function meet minimum levels, including healthy enough levels of red blood cells, platelets, kidney function, and liver enzymes (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had a significant bleeding episode in your stomach or digestive system within the last 2 months
  • You have a history of major autoimmune diseases (conditions where the immune system attacks the body — confirm with trial site for specific conditions)
