  • People who have had an acute coronary event (such as a heart attack) within the past 3 months
  • People who were hospitalised in the past month for heart failure and required intravenous medications to remove fluid or support heart function
  • People who have a mechanical replacement valve in the aortic or tricuspid position of the heart
  • People who have previously had a heart transplant
  • People who currently have acute liver or kidney failure
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who are residing in an institution under an official or court-ordered arrangement
  • People who have an employment or dependent relationship with the organisation running or auditing the trial
  • People who have taken part in another clinical drug trial within the 30 days before this study begins
