Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are having a camera examination of the throat, stomach, and upper digestive tract at Johns Hopkins Hospital between January 2016 and December 2025
- People who are older than 18 years of age
- People who are able to swallow a capsule
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a cancer located outside the food pipe (esophagus), including cancers of the head, neck, or stomach
- People who have had surgery to remove part or all of the food pipe (esophagus)
- People who have previously had radiation treatment to the chest area
- People who are 18 years of age or younger
- People who have a stent (a small tube used to hold a passage open) placed in their food pipe
- People who have a narrowing of the food pipe that would prevent a capsule from passing through
