Who might be able to join this trial:

• Children who are between 3 years old and 12 years and 11 months old at the time of joining the study
• Children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, confirmed using specific standardised diagnostic tools (such as the ADI-R, ADOS-2, BOSA, or CARS-2)
• Children who show at least a moderate level of repetitive and restricted behaviours, as measured by a specific autism-related rating scale (a score of 11 or higher on the CY-BOCS-ASD)

• Children who are in stable general health
• Children who pass a safety screening for MRI scanning, meaning they have no metal in their body

• Children who have a known genetic condition linked to Autism Spectrum Disorder, such as Fragile X syndrome
• Children who have ever been diagnosed with, or currently have, a severe psychiatric condition such as schizophrenia
• Children who have significant health problems that would make it difficult to take part in the study
• Children whose caregivers are unable to speak or read English well enough to complete the study materials and requirements
• Children who are currently taking antioxidant medications or a type of supplement called glutathione prodrugs
• Children who are unwilling or unable to swallow a study substance during the initial screening visit
