Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults with PSC (a liver condition called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) who are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • People whose PSC diagnosis has been confirmed through blood tests, imaging of the bile ducts, and/or a liver biopsy showing signs of the condition lasting at least 6 months.
  • Women with PSC who are of childbearing age or who are pregnant may also be eligible to join.
  • People with both PSC and a bile duct cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma may also be eligible.
  • Healthy volunteers (used as comparison participants) between the ages of 18 and 85 who do not have PSC or any other long-term liver disease are also eligible to join.

  • People who are currently in prison or living in an institution.
  • People with PSC who have already had a liver transplant.
  • People who have previously had a specific type of bowel surgery called a Roux-en-Y procedure (confirm with trial site if you are unsure whether this applies to you).
