Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of early stomach cancer called "undifferentiated type," which includes signet ring cell carcinoma, poorly differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma, or poorly cohesive carcinoma — where the tumor is small (2 cm or less), has not formed an ulcer, and is confined to the inner lining of the stomach, with no signs of spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body
- Adults between 19 and 75 years of age
- People who are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People younger than 19 or older than 75 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with or actively treated for another type of cancer (other than certain early-stage skin cancers) within the past 5 years
- People who have previously had surgery to remove part or all of the stomach or food pipe (oesophagus)
- People who have more than one area of stomach cancer
- People currently being treated for a serious health condition that could make study participation difficult, such as severe heart problems, advanced liver disease, kidney failure, serious lung conditions, or an infection that is not under control
- People who are unable to provide consent to participate in the study
- People whom the study doctors determine are not suitable for enrollment based on their overall assessment (confirm with trial site)
