Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older, where those over 70 years old need to be in generally stable health overall.
- People who have had a positive HBsAg test result (a marker for hepatitis B) for more than 6 months, or who have liver tissue changes related to hepatitis B infection.
- People who are planning to take, or are currently taking, certain antiviral medications for hepatitis B (entecavir, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, tenofovir alafenamide fumarate, or tenofovir amibufenamide), or who are planning to receive a medication called PegIFNα-2b — whether or not they have been treated for hepatitis B before.
- People who agree to take part in the study and sign a consent form.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), are being treated for it, or who have liver failure at the time of joining.
- People who are already taking part in another clinical trial that involves a treatment or intervention.
- People whom the trial doctors consider unsuitable for any other reason, or who may have difficulty following the study requirements (confirm with trial site).
