  • You are willing to receive 1 or 2 doses of the hepatitis B vaccine as part of the trial, after discussing and agreeing to the process
  • You are generally in good health

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had an allergic reaction to a hepatitis B vaccine in the past, or are allergic to any of its ingredients (such as yeast)
  • You did receive hepatitis B vaccines during your childhood or teenage years
  • Your blood test shows that you already have protection against hepatitis B (positive surface antibody), or that you currently have a hepatitis B infection (positive surface antigen)
