Who might be able to join this trial:
- People of any gender are eligible.
- People who have been diagnosed with HIV.

- People aged 18 or older.

- People who do not plan to move away from the local area for at least one year.
- People who have enough control over their own daily eating to participate in a diet-related study.
- People who are willing and able to give written consent and take part in all study activities.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have taken part in a diabetes, nutrition, or weight-loss research study in the past 12 months.
- People who currently have an AIDS-defining illness (a serious illness that occurs when HIV has severely weakened the immune system).
- People who live in the same household as another person already enrolled in this study — only one person per household may participate.
- People who are planning to have weight-loss (bariatric) surgery in the next year, or who have had that type of surgery in the past two years.
- People who do not have a safe, stable place to live or somewhere to store meals.
- People who do not have access to a telephone.
- People who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the next year.
- People with a history of cancer — except certain skin cancers, early-stage prostate cancer, or breast cancer found through routine screening — unless the cancer was fully treated more than 5 years ago or is in remission. (confirm with trial site)
- People with advanced kidney disease, specifically where the kidneys are working at a very low level (confirm with trial site for exact threshold).
- People with a known problem with drug or alcohol misuse in the past 6 months.
- People with a known serious mental health condition that would prevent them from taking part in study activities.
