Who might be able to join this trial:

• You must be willing to sign a consent form and attend all required study visits from start to finish
• You must be 18 years old or older at the time of your first screening appointment
• You must have a confirmed diagnosis of Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a liver condition, based on recognised medical guidelines
• You may still be taking certain medications such as UDCA, anti-itch medicines, or PPAR agonists, as long as you meet some additional requirements (confirm with trial site)
• You must have itching that is related to your PBC and meets a certain level of severity, as measured by a specific assessment tool called the Adult ItchRO (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

• If your itching is caused by something other than PBC, you may not be eligible
• If you have signs of advanced liver disease with serious complications (called decompensated cirrhosis), or have had such complications in the past, you may not be eligible
• If you currently have painful gallstones or an inflamed gallbladder, you may not be eligible
• If you have had surgery to remove part of your small intestine (particularly the lower section called the terminal ileum) that may affect how your body processes bile, you may not be eligible
• If you have another liver disease in addition to PBC, you may not be eligible — however, people with PBC who also have a condition called Autoimmune Hepatitis (AIH) are allowed to apply
• If you have previously had a liver transplant, you may not be eligible
