AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 9 and 18 years old
  • A doctor has diagnosed you with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (a type of seizure not caused by abnormal brain electrical activity) using a specific test called a video-EEG
  • A family member (a parent, if you are under 18) is willing to take part alongside you, chosen by you

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have also been diagnosed with epilepsy
  • You are having fewer than 4 of these seizures per month
  • Your seizure-like episodes are caused by something else, such as a lack of oxygen to the brain, a sleep disorder, or migraines (confirm with trial site)
  • You are currently receiving another form of therapy
  • You have a severe intellectual disability
  • You have a severe mental illness involving hearing or seeing things that are not there, or holding strong false beliefs
  • Your blood pressure is above 130/80 mmHg (if you are 13 or older)
  • Your blood pressure reading is at or above the 95th percentile for your age and sex (if you are under 13) — this means it is higher than 95% of children your age (confirm with trial site)
